Founded in 1980, The MENTOR Network is a national network of local human services providers offering an array of quality, community-based services in more than 30 states to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges as well as their families. Description The MENTOR Network is currently seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to assist and support the Senior Financial Analyst and the Director of Financial Reporting in the day to day operations of the Financial Reporting group.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare analysis and presentations on accounting areas that involves significant judgments and estimates
Assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of of reconciliation and monitoring processes for critical accounting areas
Work with third parties to perform valuation of business combinations
Work with third parties to perform impairment assessment of goodwill and long-lived assets
Establish analytical processes and develop analyses for complex accounting areas to support accounting decisions
Attend senior level meetings requiring the finance departments' input
Prepare analysis on accounting areas that involves significant judgments and estimates
Assist in the preparation of monthly investor financial reporting package
Prepare annual consolidating financial statements
Assist in the preparation of quarterly investor presentations
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes and MD&A for the Company's 10Q, 10K and other SEC filings
Assist in the coordination and compilation of Audit Committee meeting materials
Work on special projects that arise from time to time, under the direction of senior individuals within the Finance organization
Interface with all levels of management of a variety of financial analyses
Performs other related duties and activities as required.
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
Solid accounting knowledge
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Excellent Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proactive and motivated work ethics
Good organizational skills and the ability to successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Proven ability to learn and perform in a fast pace environment
