Job Description: Alyeska Resort, located in Girdwood, Alaska is Alaska's premier ski resort located 40 minutes south of Anchorage. Alyeska Resort is seeking a qualified Director of Facilities and Grounds to direct and ensure the efficient administration and management of the Facilities and Grounds Departments to include all matters related to operations, maintenance and engineering for the Hotel Alyeska and Alyeska Ski Resort buildings, facilities and grounds. Primary responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of the Hotel Alyeska, the Mountain Station and all other physical property (collectively the "Alyeska Resort Property"), including all buildings and utilities; water, sewage, electricity, fuel, air conditioning, refrigeration, and telecommunications; coordination of design and construction projects. Plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. Responsible to the Hotel Alyeska and the Alyeska Ski Resort General Managers for all aspects of the Alyeska Resort Property building maintenance, preventative maintenance, engineering, and elop, plan, budget and prepare bid specification and schedules for all aspects of facility ures proper servicing and operation of all Alyeska Resort Property owned and leased rdinates inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established ates and maintains project timelines on all piles cost reports of completed rsees the coordination of building space allocation, layout, communication services and security itor and maintain all stand-by power generation systems for all Alyeska Resort ponsible for all wood surfaces and finishes, plus repair of all furniture for all Alyeska Resort agement and maintenance of the in-room entertainment system at the Hotel elops annual budgets for the department by analyzing and estimating past and future costs using moderately complex mathematical elops, implements, and administers continuous training of all facilities lyzes and evaluates energy costs for all Alyeska Resort municate company policies to workers and enforce safety rsees Grounds Department functions, to include landscaping, snow removal, and all other functions of that d and interpret blueprints and er duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Essential skills and experience: Engineering degree required; mechanical or electrical preferred. A minimum of five years experience in building maintenance and engineering required. Prior experience should include management and supervisory level positions.
