Requirements: Excellent programming skills, experience in Java, PL/SQL, XML, UNIX shell scripts and Perl. Quick to pick up a new programming language if required Extremely strong in SQL, SQL programming, relational databases and set based processing. Experience with different database systems including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access. Experience with columnar processing, MapReduce and MPP. Experience Hadoop, Vertica, ParAccel and/or Green Plum. Experience with cloud computing. Experience with EC2 and other similar cloud infrastructure. Good understanding of database internals. Experience in integrating third party APIs and JDKs of products like Vertica. Understanding of Internet architecture. Experience working with application servers and web servers such as Apache, Tomcat and Jboss. Experience in high availability systems. Experience in high availability architecture including load-balancing, data mirroring, failovers etc. Understanding of security architecture. Experience working with VPNs, firewalls, encryption, remote access, SFTP etc. Experience in tools for system monitoring, performance management and code-profiling. Experience in working with data centers for the acquiring HW/SW and tracking and optimizing its usage.
Must be able to quickly understand and adapt technology stack and the PSO process. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good leadership skills and delegation skills. Excellent experience in project estimation, scheduling and tracking. Experience in estimating projects in terms of elapse time, person-hours and HW/SW resources.
