Kforce is seeking a strong and talented HIM Professional to head an HIM Department at one of our prominent clients in Tampa, FL. We are seeking local candidates only. There is no relocation package available. Salary: To be determined for the right candidate. Job Summary: * The Director is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the department to meet the information and fiscal requirements of the facility * These activities include, but are not limited to medical transcription, record abstracting and coding, deficiency monitoring, chart control, and release of information * Establish departmental standards for performance * Proactively resolve issues impacting service levels or financial targets * Identify and implement changes in process and technology that will improve productivity and service * Develop and monitor the annual budget * Be responsible for the recruitment and evaluation of staff and management Job Relationships: * Report to the Vice President of Information Resources / Chief Information Officer * Supervises: Manager of Health Information Management * Relationships: HLM staff, physicians, patients, attorneys, and consultants
