Huron Consulting Group, one of the nation's premier financial and operational consulting firms has a need for a dynamic individual to join their national HR team in their corporate offices in downtown Chicago. As Executive Assistant in Human Resources the selected individual will be responsible for delivering strategic and tactical HR and administrative support for the corporate HR function that includes the following functional areas; Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits and other generalist activities. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and the Managing Director of Recruiting.
Job Responsibilities: * Provide administrative support to Vice President adhering to respected timelines and backup administrative support to Directors/Managers in Human Resources. * Administer the Managing Director Recruitment Process (MDRP), including providing suggestion to and keeping process model updated and disseminated to the various practice leaders and other department leaders who play a role in the recruitment and on-boarding of MD's. Providing value added suggestions for improvement. * Maintain master personnel files, ensuring that new hire checklist is completed & all paperwork has been signed. * Review, reconcile and process department invoices for payment. Assist with budget analysis and report generation. * Prepare presentation materials for various meetings. Compose and create general and confidential correspondence including memos, charts, table's graphs, business plans, etc. Collect and prepare information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals. Included data that may be highly sensitive and confidential in nature. * Responsible for distribution and tracking of new hire packets. * Coordinate logistics for new hires that start on weeks when there is no scheduled orientation - work collaboratively with the On-Boarding Manager. * Manage Spot Award program with HR business partners. * Maintain and track education reimbursement program. * Facilitate HR department Amex reconciliation. * Coordinate logistics for HR senior management meetings - taking minutes, distribution and status follow-up including composing agenda. * Plan and coordinate HR department outings and meetings. * Manage human resource information on company intranet. * Handle special projects as needed. * Occasional travel to attend conferences, support remote activities. Job Requirements:
* 3+ years experience as a executive assistant, secretary or administrator. Experience in management consulting, public accounting or professional services preferred * Demonstrated knowledge of HR systems, processes and procedures * Must possess strong organizational skills, be a strategic thinker and a self-starter. Must be able to work independently and resolve complex issues using sound business judgment. * Experience implementing HR projects and initiatives to improve current process - Excellent client service/communication/candidate management skills * Superior written and verbal communication skills * Ability to build strong internal and external relationships. * Computer proficiency, including demonstrated competence in Word, Power Point, and Excel. Knowledge of HRIS and ATS technology is desirable. * BS/BA preferred, professional certifications are highly desirable.
