Industrial Sales Engineer/Representative
Power Motion Sales is a growing distributor/rep of automation products for the manufacturing industry. We are looking to hire a professional outside sales person to allow us to continue the expansion of our Lenexa, KS branch.
This is a new position, as our sustained growth has caused us to create an additional territory. The territory includes the Kansas City metro and a significant part of Kansas, and includes a number of existing accounts, and new potentials.
Key duties include:
Prepare territory sales plan based on customer location to ensure product coverage based on territory sales, and update plan as needed.
Prepare a weekly itinerary and complete a highlighted call report for manager.
Follow up on sales leads, prepare basic quotations, make pricing recommendations, communicate application requirements and specifications to others to prepare complex quotations, and follow up and report on all quotations in a timely manner.
Communicate to ensure accurate order placement and fulfillment.
Keep CRM database and opportunities current and customer files organized.
Take initiative to learn about product lines; schedule, organize and coordinate vendor visits; and participate in training and sales meetings.
Solicit new business with a focus on larger accounts and potentials.
Promote and participate in customer seminars, workshops and trainings.
Participate in keeping product literature current and orderly and maintain samples in good condition.
Maintain open and continuous communication with sales manager on relevant matters.
Attend and participate in Company meetings as required.
Prepare annual sales forecast for territory and participate in long term planning.
Establish personal goals and objectives for growth and development.
Complete monthly expense reports and monitor expenditures to minimize overall costs.
Monitor progress towards goals regularly and take corrective action as required.
Request tools and resources necessary to achieve goals.
