JOB DESCRIPTION
CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AND SELECTION: COLSA Corporation is seeking a candidate that will provide information assurance (IA) support in Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and information security architecture design development, as directed for the applicable MDA Ground Test and Flight Test system and network components. Candidate will perform IA Vulnerability assessments on Linux and Solaris based operating systems to include the use of DoD approved vulnerability tools such as eEye Retina, nMap, and DISA SRR Scripts to validate compliance with all relevant security technical implementation guides (STIGs). Candidate will be responsible for assisting with writing, reviewing, and editing technical IA documentation IAW with the DoD Information Assurance C&A Process (DIACAP). Complete high level quick look reports and analysis reports of test results as well as track mitigation implementation through POA&Ms. Candidate should be self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a team centric environment with rapidly evolving and changing technical requirements that will often involve quick studies of leading edge technologies and technical solutions. Occasional travel to CONUS locations is required. Candidates must have a SECRET Clearance.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in technical-related field such as CS, CIS, MIS or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 5 years total related experience. Experience with DoD security guidance and requirements to include DIACAP, DoD 8500.2, etc. Demonstrated experience with an IA Vulnerability Management process to include tracking, reporting and mitigating IA Vulnerability Alerts. Demonstrated IT system security and system administration experience with UNIX OS including RHEL and Sun Solaris. Demonstrated experience using the following IA tools - eEye Retina Vulnerability Scanner, nMap, and Defense Information Systems Agency Security Readiness Review (SRR) scripts. Experience developing technical documentation to include diagrams and implementation/integration planning documentation. Experience with conducting IA analysis to identify necessary mitigation plans/actions.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Experience and familiarity with DoD networks and communications transport systems. Hands on experience and familiarity with Local Area Networks (LAN) to include the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls (i.e. CISCO) as well as Anti-virus and the associated information system patch management process. Hands on experience designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting an unclassified/classified lab environment using CISCO based network devices. Demonstrated experience with database development along with developing products using Microsoft applications to include Power Point, Word, Excel, Access, Project, Publisher, and Visio.

Work is performed in an office environment with little or no adverse conditions. There are little or no physical demands associated with this job.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
DoD 8570 IA Compliant (i.e. Candidate must possess one of the following certifications)

CompTIA Security+, Systems Security Certification Practitioner (SSCP), Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
