Instructional Designer and Developer

Summary

Create training material for a wide variety of clients. Work with Skill Manager, client(s), and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure on-time delivery of training to clients. Carry out project design and development based on project schedules and deliverables. Monitor multiple training projects from design and development stage through implementation. Complete task analysis and competencies based on course goal and content. Design course agenda, layout, activities, and assessment. Prepare Project Outline, Facilitator and Participant Guides, job aids, and related project deliverables prior to production. Develop online course content. Design and develop technical, customer service, sales, and leadership classes into a comprehensive curriculum.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop training material (online, instructor-led, and blended)
• Create engaging learning activities that make practice closer to real life skills
• Work closely with other team members and clients to ensure a quality end product
• Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify instructional objectives
• Develop objectives and ensure content matches those objectives
• Revise and rewrite content to shape it for learning needs
• Structure content and activities to support participant learning
• Create media to support learning (e.g. graphics, visual aids, job aids, various multimedia for online)
• Develop assessments
• Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (e.g. instructor-led to online or blended format)
• Updating existing material as needed
• Other tasks as assigned
