* Apply for this opportunity now! * Email my friend this job opportunity More information about this job: Overview: Provides instruction on course topic of assignment utilizing approved POIs and/or other materials as approved by Director of Training or Program Manager. Instructors must be prepared to present materials to any size group in professional mannner. Group instruction must meet organizational standards and/or client standards/requirements. This position is in support of Mobile Medical Training Team for the African Contingency Operations Training and Assistance (ACOTA) Program.
Responsibilities: * Reports initially to the Program Manager for ACOTA, for assignment in one of the following instructional areas: Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate (I), Paramedic (P) Courses, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. * Upon validation of certification and instructional ability by the ACOTA PM, instructor will perform general or specialized skill set classroom instruction * Assist in range or field practical application exercises * Will perform other duties as assigned by the PM/Lead Instructor or Director of Training * This position is considered "adjunct".
Qualifications: * Evidence of formal certification as an instructor. * Prefer attendance at least 80 hours of training in adult learning and/or instructional techniques or 24 hours of contractor provided instructor refresher course * A minimum of three (3) years of instructional experience as EMT-P, preferably with foreign military or police. * Basic Life Support (BLS)/Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)/Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) Instructor qualified. * Superior time management skills and proven ability to work under strict time deadlines * Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office * Excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to instructional ability * Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently * Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to act effectively as a member of a team and work collaboratively with students and operational personnel * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Ability to exercise tact and discretion when handling highly sensitive and confidential issues * Able to travel internationally.
