Project: Parsons is supporting the design, construction, and operations of a pilot plant that will use advanced technology to neutralize a significant portion of the U.S. government's chemical agent stockpile. As part of our team, you will be actively contributing to a safer world for future generations. This position is based in Richmond, KY.
Need Parsons is seeking an Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineer with Distributed Control System (DCS) and specification expertise to complete complex logic diagram and control narrative assignments similar to those found in chemical process or utility plants. The successful candidate will participate in design reviews, provide design recommendations, and modify I&C drawings and specifications. In addition, this position entails reviewing equipment vendor drawings and instrumentation drawings to ensure they meet project specifications. You will also work with instrumentation, I/O, and alarm summaries, wiring schedules, and instrument data sheets. As such, familiarity with P&IDs to support instrumentation requirements will be beneficial.
Qualifications:
7 years of utility or chemical plant related I&C engineering experience involving Distributed Control Systems (DCS) - Foxboro a plus.
Proficiency developing logic diagrams, sequential function charts, Batch S88 logics, validation documentation and control narratives for chemical processes.
Experience working with programmers to ensure intent of logic diagrams is incorporated into control software.
Experience utilizing advanced electrical I&C engineering techniques, codes and regulations
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Proof of U.S. citizenship
Other Experiences that will be a plus:
Invensys Infusion software experiences a plus, but not required. Ability to learn Infusion DCS software may be required.
Experience using Intools to generate instrumentation summaries, I/O summaries, alarm summaries, wiring schedules and instrument data sheets.
