International Controller
The International Controller is responsible for the oversight of the international financial accounting function while providing organizational and administrative support for the financial operations of the business, including support of US and Corporate activities.
The International Controller will take action under the direct supervision of the Corporate Controller, and the indirect supervision of its Chief Financial Officer. He or she will work collaboratively with other members of the corporate management team. He or she will work collaboratively with the US/Canada Controller, the Corporate Directors and the management team.
Key Responsibilities: * Direct the Accounting and Finance functions of all foreign subsidiaries in a coordinated fashion to report consolidated financial results and establish responsibilities and time frames to help fulfill the annual Forward Plans. * Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring progress toward fulfillment of the Forward Plan; revise courses of action in accordance with results of such measurement and current conditions. * Prioritize the activities and allocate the resources of the supervised function, balancing the short-term interests and the long term interests; including the interests of Corporate, US and International activities in a matrixed environment. * Ensure a culture of continuous improvement in the policies, systems, processes and methods of the supervised function. * Balance empowerment with control. * Exercise sound business judgment in carrying out expenditures of the supervised activities, which are authorized by the Financial Plan; and in deciding to make expenditures outside of the ordinary course of business. * Foster high performance teamwork between supervised function, regions and subsidiary entities, maximizing the likelihood that the goals of the corporate annual Forward Plan are achieved.
