International Space Station Electrical Power Engineer 1\2
The Space Exploration (SE) International Space Station (ISS) Electrical Power System (EPS) Team is seeking entry-level Systems Engineers. The successful candidates will provide technical support to the EPS Design, Analysis, Integration and Mission Operations Team including: a) assisting with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements, performing system power quality and power generation analyses and testing to verify operational and functional requirements, assisting in monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with requirements, supporting resolution of product analysis and integration issues and production anomalies, providing program change request support and researching basic technologies for potential application to business needs b) supporting our NASA Mission Control Center console with hardware data trending and analysis, review of flight documentation and resolution of on-orbit anomalies, and c) support resolution of basic EPS hardware issues via the EPS Board and the EPS System Problem Resolution Team (SPRT) using the Boeing Nonconformance System (BNS).

Typical Education/Experience
Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Other Job related information
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. Applicant must have a basic familiarity with circuit simulation using SPICE-based simulation software; an understanding of the derivation and allocation of requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software); be able to show traceability throughout the product lifecycle, have a basic knowledge of electronic/electrical systems or subsystems and components including the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces and have a basic understanding of analog and digital circuit design and packaging techniques. Manufacturing and system / box-level testing knowledge or experience are desirable. Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills are necessary as is proficiency with MS Office tools.
