BridgeView IT is seeking a IT Security - Assistant Vice PresidentThis Role is located in Jersey City, NY. It is a Full time opportunity.
Position Requirements:
15 years in Information Technology, including: 5 years in Information Security or Information Risk Management and 2 years in the Financial Services sector
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
Proven experience managing an IT Security team
Industry certifications such as: CISM, CISSP
Broad knowledge of network security practices, designs, methodologies, tools, and processes
Knowledge of general societal, political, and legal issues related to IS security
Knowledge of Computer/network forensics
Working knowledge of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows, Solaris, firewall multi-layer design and implementation, router access list / packet filtering, WANs, LANs, Internet, Intranets and network protocols (i.e., telnet, ftp, TCP/IP and etc.). Enterprise Security management tools, security assessment software, Intrusion detection systems, Virtual Private Network (VPN), Encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and information security practices
Ability to function in a fast paced global changing environment using persuasion, expertise and judgment to affect change
Strong attention to detail and follow through skills
Effective oral and written communications skills
Strong project planning and management skills
Ability to evaluate need and initiate implementation plans
Responsibilities
As an Assistant Vice President, your responsibilities will be:
Oversee the global IT Security needs/concerns of a 40k+ staff company operating in over 100 countries
Direct a team of 7 direct reports and guide a global team of 60+ indirect reports
Represent IT Security interests in all corporate level processes and committees
In cooperation with Corporate/regional/Functional Security team leads, develop IT Security standards and requirements
Lead departmental security projects and department level corporate projects preparing and delivering status reports on a regular basis
Review departmental compliance against corporate standards. Recommend and/or plan corrective actions to achieve compliance for any discovered deficiencies
Manage department Security Awareness training efforts
Provide departmental governance by assisting/leading in efforts to identify, document and instruct the department in all security related topics
Advise departmental Senior Management of trends, directions and concerns
Oversee execution of and provide final approval for partners security reviews
Participate in contract negotiations focusing on IT Security requirements
Oversee execution of operational security tasks including: Monthly internet POP external vulnerability assessments and repairs, anti-Virus/malware support efforts, data Loss Prevention efforts, server security configuration compliance, security incident reporting and follow-up, system intrusion detection and follow-up, governance processes compliance, and represent client's when partners request security reviews of our operations
