Job Description Our client is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to manage all of the day-to-day operations of a moderately complex laboratory. Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for:
* Managing the clinical laboratory, assuring reliable, high-quality, patient focused services, which comply with licensing requirements. * Supervises all laboratory activities and provides efficient and effective leadership in all aspects of managing the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications
* Requires a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related science * Possession of a valid California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Bio-Analyst, or Special Clinical Laboratory Technologist by the State of California State Dept. of Health * ASCP certified as a Medical Technologist (MT) * Must have a minimum of 3- 4 years experience in a supervisory capacity with demonstrated capabilities to manage a clinical lab with a staff of 10 or more employees. * Knowledge of CLIA, API, NCQA, Title 22, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. * Ability to work independently and with a team, supervises and instructs others, and communicates effectively. * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with peers, staff, physicians and other healthcare professionals. * Must be well-organized, meticulous, and accurate * Computer experience/proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with LIS * Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
