Job Description:
The Lead Data Security Analyst (Network Security) works within the Information Security Services Department. The primary responsibilities of the Lead Data Security Analyst (Network Security) are to maintain, monitor, implement and support network security systems including firewall rules, wireless intrusion, Windows/Unix based vulnerability scans and network intrusion.
Responsibilities of the Lead Data Security Analyst (Network Security) include but are not limited to the following:
- Firewall rule request management
- Windows/Unix based vulnerability assessment services with Qualys
- Firewall policy management
- Wireless intrusion sensor monitoring and management
- Network intrusion detection/prevention monitoring and analysis
- Network security reporting - Perform detailed analytical tasks
- Off hours work will be required.
The Lead Data Security Analyst must possess:
- Subject matter expertise in technologies including Windows, telecommunications protocols including TCP/IP, firewall/proxy, Intel based hardware/software.
- Knowledge of risk management and how to overcome risks to reach goals.
- Strong planning and organization skills as well as customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of UPS management.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced working knowledge of Data Communications and LAN technologies including administration.
- Knowledge of Unix and Linux is a plus.
