Gartner leadership partners serve as trusted advisors to clients in Global 2000 organizations and large government agencies who are typically direct reports of the CIO. The role of the leadership partner is to coach and critique client strategies, guide them in building their organizations, and assist them in developing IT strategy and establishing priorities and planning for implementation around key IT initiatives. Clients are able to achieve goals quickly, cost effectively and with a higher assurance of success.
Detailed Description
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT The Leadership Partner manages client approximately 35 - 40 client relationships and supports account planning in collaboration with Leadership Client Managers, and the respective Account Executive who collectively have responsibility for the assigned account.
The Leadership Partner participates in all phases of the client lifecycle: Pre-sale, On-boarding, Establish Relationship, Full Delivery, Review, Renew. Success in these processes is defined by; a smooth hand-off from the sales team, consistent member initiation, creation of complete member profiles, identifying the member's agenda, developing an engagement plan, performing quarterly member satisfaction reviews, preparing and delivering on-site engagements and member meetings.
SALES AND MARKETING SUPPORT The Leadership Partner is responsible for client retention and contributing toward growth in the region through direct support of sales in account planning and value demonstration activities.
EVENTS DELIVERY The Leadership Partner is responsible for periodic member events including workshops, roundtables and webinars through collaboration with Gartner Research and Events staff.
RESEARCH SUPPORT The Leadership Partner supports research activities such as identifying case studies and facilitating member participation in research studies or case panels.
Job Requirements
University graduate (Masters preferred): 20+ years of industry experience, and over 10 years in the Information Security & Risk Management in some or all areas below: o Technology and Controls Deployments o Security & Risk management audits and assessments o Strategic advisory engagements o LargeEnterpriseIntegration Projects o Security & Risk Management Strategy and Roadmap development o Application Integration and Development o Security, Privacy and Risk Management Policy development o Top Secret Security Clearance
The ideal candidate has a consulting background and experience working with clients in Global 2000 firms or large DoD/government agencies. In depth understanding of the business value of IT and the alignment of Business and IT strategies Critical thinking and problem solving to assess client situation and provide actionable outcome based business/technical advice and access to appropriate Gartner resources to support achievement of business results * High tolerance / evolved ability to lead and manage ambiguous situations * Excellent relationship skills including experience working with Sr. IT Leadership * Superior verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills * Experience coaching and mentoring senior level leaders * Collaboration and team leadership. * Demonstrable sales and/or business development experience with Sr. IT Leadership * Strong time and project management skills
