General Job Description: Provide subject matter expertise and intellectual capital on logistics-related subjects, including Supply Chain Management to include deployment and distribution throughout the End-to-End (E2E) distribution chain, transportation and global sourcing solutions for the Deployment and Distribution Center. Assist in the preparation of operational support products and briefings. Document, review and update lessons learned for major quarterly exercises. Develop formal report capturing significant historical events for incorporation into the annual history call. Review the Manager's Internal Control (MIC) checklist on a quarterly basis. Advise and assist in the development, collection of data, coordination and finalization of operational briefings for presentation to USTRANSCOM staff, visiting groups/officials, General/Flag Officers, transportation component commands, combatant commands, Joint Staff and Congress. Briefings will have an operational focus and may require the mining of data from various transportation systems and collection/consolidation from multiple sources. Presentations include: daily morning and afternoon executive situation updates, weekly operational updates, unscheduled operational updates, 120-day updates, tank briefings and congressional briefings. Specific Qualifications: Background in military logistics and operational knowledge of the logistics data systems. Proficiency in the following computer/telephone programs/systems: Logbook, Single Mobility System, Joint Operational Planning and Execution System, Task Management Tool, Global Transportation Network, SharePoint, classified/unclassified local area network, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Global Command and Control System, secure telephones, and any future programs/systems which are acquired as the J3 staff exploits fused databases. Desirables: Prior military highly desired TRANSCOM experience highly desired Bachelors degree preferred Experience building and delivering briefings in a military environment Exceptional knowledge of military logistics systems used by TRANSCOM Desirable Certifications: JOPES Certification preferred Minimum Level of Education: (Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.) Bachelors degree preferred
