Third party logistics (3PL) company is hiring for the position of Logistics Analyst to be based out of its Roxboro, NC facility. Required skills include:
- Minimum 1 years project management experience - Experience of logistics solution design - Strong Excel skills - Excellent communicator at all levels, both orally and in writing - Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills. - First class customer services skills - Able to prioritize workload and work to tight deadlines - Working knowledge of network modelling applications, preferably CAPS / Infor an advantage
Overall purpose of job:
- The analysis and identification of logistics solutions offering cost reduction opportunities and or efficiency gains to company and its customers - To co-ordinate the execution of external supply chain/logistics projects with the support of the appropriate Operations teams and business units, covering: - Customer driven improvements - Commercially driven improvements - Service driven improvements (excluding operational issues) - To provide assistance to Business Unit Managers to support project implementation - To define and manage cross-functional teams of appropriate personnel to deliver project requirements - Provide strategic modelling capability, using available software, for new and existing business, in order to identify potential improvements and impact of changes - To suggest changes in policy or operational procedures where these would result in improvements of efficiency, communication and the quality of service to customers - Develop and track savings initiatives on behalf of customers
