Manager Business Development Operations
- Support the BD vice-president, ~10 BD directors, 70 full and part-time capture managers, 5-10 proposal managers in pursuing and winning new business.
-Implement and oversee all performance measurement processes and visibility systems to ensure efficiency and improvement specific to services performed in the SBDI homeroom, including strategic planning, innovation, campaign, capture and competitiveness and position-to-win and proposal activities and functions. Also maintains personnel development records and processes (tracking certification, training, etc.)
- Support the business development acquisition process, track all pursuits through maturity gates and ensure the status of each pursuit is known and accurately reported.
-Maintain the overall department calendar, coordinate overall rhythm of SBDI status reviews and topics, ensure all weekly, monthly and annual reports are prepared on-time and are of high accuracy and quality, lead the preparation of reports and presentations for interface with high level corporate executives and/or customers on behalf of the organization. Provide production support for LRSP, and other key items.
-Capture and analyze information to improve the health and efficiency of the organization, make recommendations regarding improvements to overall processes, ensure Workbench is up-to-date and accurate and work with users to understand and implement Workbench enhancements, maintain SBDI War Room and ensure SBDI inputs to sector War Room and Visibility Center are accurate and timely.
-Represent the organization on administrative matters and recommend, interpret, and/or implement company and internal administrative policies and procedures; also perform as a generalist a combination of administrative tasks in such functional areas as finance, human resources, purchasing, and analysis. Ensure the efficient in-processing (Purchase Orders, badging, etc.,) monitoring and payment of suppliers, subject matter experts, etc. needed by any of the SBDI functions, (Campaign, Innovation, CA/PTW, Proposal Ops, etc.) Attend strategy, campaign and capture reviews to understand the initiatives that are underway and work to advance these initiatives.
Proven record in managing and winning competitive U.S. Government proposals in a cost effective manner.
• Complete understanding of U.S. Government and more specifically Department of Defense (DoD) procurement processes and practices.
• Complete understanding of the company Business Acquisition process
• Detail-oriented, diligent, tenacious attitude and willing to apply the effort and time to deliver reliably accurate, comprehensive, and high quality results.
• Independent operator who can accomplish mission goals with minimal guidance and oversight, demonstrated leadership, management, team building, and inter organization collaboration skills.
• Expert communicator, verbally and in writing/graphics, who can effectively translate and present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical customer officials and company executives.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in a related field.
Experience as a campaign, capture or program manager of strategically significant importance.
Must be proficient in the Business Acquisition Process, Workbench, budgeting and estimating, process development, documentation and improvement, organizational professional development, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and Project, and the functions of campaign, capture, position-to-win and proposal management. The ideal candidate will have been successful in one or more of these roles previously, will be highly organized and have the ability to get things done through others that do not report to him/her. Must have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills and be able to deal with high-pressure, short turnaround deadlines on a routine basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree from an accredited university or college in a related field.
Candidates with Top Secret/Secret clearance.
