Manager, Financial Reporting - Corporate VA
The Manager of Financial Reporting reports to the Director and Assistant Controller and is responsible for the supervision and review of the monthly consolidated financial statements, quarterly and annual U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, other SEC filings, and other projects, as required.
JOB DUTIES: This position supervises the preparation of the consolidated financial statements and all 8-K, 10-K, and 10-Q filings for submission to the SEC. It is also responsible for reviewing and analyzing monthly sector financial statements, and quarterly and annual sector financial data in support of the SEC filings, as well as preparation of internal management analyses. Additional supervisory responsibilities involve the coordination of the quarterly review and annual audit of the Corporate Office and consolidated financial statements with independent auditors, review of the quarterly earnings release in support of corporate Investor Relations, preparation of equity booking of subsidiary net income, quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment, management representation letter process, financial reporting transition of acquisitions, divestitures, and realignments, filings of certain quarterly and annual census reports and surveys and the year-end supplemental data submission process.
Serves as the Finance focal point for the Communications department regarding preparation of the Annual Report to shareholders. Coordinates required financial data with corporate departments. Performs financial analyses and accounting research, as required, and may provide guidance and training to corporate and sector staff regarding US GAAP reporting requirements.
Basic Qualifications: Candidates must have a Bachelors degree. Minimum 8 years experience with a background from Big 4 Public Accounting Firm and at least 2 years in management. Also must be a certified public accountant.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Aerospace & defense industry. Prior experience with Hyperion Financial Management software a plus.
