JOB SUMMARY Functions in a management position. Responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable efforts. Actively participates in planning, organizing and decision making to meet the organizations objectives. Trend, report and analyze specified areas of the revenue cycles. Make independent decisions that will have a positive end result for the organization. Accountable for continuous quality improvement, planning, organizing, directing, controlling and communicating on behalf of the Central Business Office. Independently identify performance improvement plans. Effective development of personal, individual, departmental and organizational goals. Management of employees; including supervisors, coordinators and/or team leads. Provide direction and support to promote professional growth of employees. Accountable for the recruitment and retention of qualified employees. Develops a productive work environment. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission,values, and Mercy Service Standards. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Manages the development and direction of departmental operations. 2 Actively participates in planning, organizing and decision making to meet organizational goals. 3 Ability to effectively delegate tasks. 4 Clearly establishes individual and departmental goals to achieve a significant and productive end-result; and is aware of the outcome. 5 Accountable for overall ownership of specific areas of the revenue cycle. Analyzes information and makes recommendations for continuous quality improvement as well as independently identifies performance improvement plans. 6 Conducts regularly scheduled departmental staff meetings to communicate on the overall work effectiveness. 7 Provides direction and support in problem solving and conflict-resolution with regards to personnel and daily operations. 8 Positive, yet constructive communication with Clinic Managers and Practice Management Directors on areas of opportunity (updates, issue resolution, revenue improvement, etc.) as well as a positive working relationship with clinic personnel, Clinic Managers and Practice Management Directors. 9 Apprising CBO Director and Director of Finance of personnel issues, operations of assigned departments and clinic operations impacting revenue. 10 Counseling and disciplinary actions taken when appropriate towards subordinates. 11 Actively participates in employee evaluations and insures that employee productivity expectations are met. 12 Develops an organizational culture that fosters teamwork. Job RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED Education: 2-3 years work experience or certification in physician practice management or related college degree. Licensure: Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or manager position. Advanced knowledge of Excel, Windows and Microsoft Outlook Above average computer skills Certification/Registration: Other skills & knowledge: (skills, knowledge, abilities) Leadership skills and project management Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve issues through to resolution Ability to organize work priorities and meet specific objectives under time constraints Ability to make quick decisions Highly detail-oriented, with strong oral and written skills Ability to act independently Thorough understanding of regulations and standards within the insurance industry QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED Certification/Registration: Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician based (CCS-P) Other skills & knowledge: (skills, knowledge, abilities) Additional languages a plus Apply Now Not ready to apply?
