Manager, Marketing
Summary:
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of marketing initiatives that will help drive growth and development of Green Dot’s financial service programs at major retailers nationwide, as well as online. As part of our entrepreneurial culture, the ideal candidate will be able to manage projects from conception through execution, and will be given broad exposure to all functional aspects of the company. This role requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to think strategically. The Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President of Marketing.
Responsibilities:
· Marketing support of key retail and online programs
· Manage the development and execution of ongoing marketing initiatives and promotions, in particular, email and direct marketing campaigns
· Monitor and analyze private label program performance, including analysis of cardholder data to understand behavior and profitability
· Manage day-to-day relationships with strategic partners
· Strategic initiatives and new product innovation
· Support key strategic initiatives through research and quantitative analysis and help guide marketing and product positioning
· Develop a working knowledge of industry trends, including competitive offerings and product innovation
· Consumer insights
· Design and implement consumer research projects that support new product and business development, as well as acquisition and retention initiatives
· Analyze and synthesize research results to help drive business decisions
Requirements:
· 5-7 years work experience
· Undergraduate degree from top tier school, MBA preferred but not required
· Background in consulting, financial services, retail or CPG preferred
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills
· Excellent attention to detail with ability to produce accurate and reliable analysis
· Ability to take initiative on executing projects and working independently
· Collaborative approach with marketing team and colleagues across many departments
· Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
· Interest in consumer-focused business issues and a consumer-focused mindset
