Summary:
The Manager of Laboratory will manage the daily operations of the Laboratory.
Requirements:
Develops specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Develops and implements policies, procedures, standards and initiatives.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll.
Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for equipment purchases.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Level Degree required
Five years of experience required.
One year of experience in a leadership role required.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Technology program or equivalent to meet state requirements required. BS degree in Marketing, Computer Science or a related field maybe acceptable for non clinical areas.
Licenses & Certifications:
Medical Technologist-Certified ASCP required
Current licensure as a Medical Technologist in the state of Florida required or an equivalent certification in a laboratory discipline.
Current licensure as a Laboratory Supervisor in the state of Florida if responsible for Clinical areas.
