MANAGER – PROCESS, RISK & CONTROL & SOX COMPLIANCE

PROJECT RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Actively participates in company top initiatives (eg. Data Integrity, Dashboards, End-to-End Process Improvement, M&A) as advisor on processes and controls
* Facilitates documentation of design of processes or acts as reviewer as appropriate
* Ensures action plans are established and tracked in key hotspot areas of concern
* Proactive individual that looks for ways to add value and service process owners as our key clients
* Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 responsibilities:
* Assist in SOX 404 project management for delegated areas of responsibility
* Review updates on Section 404 documentation as required (including Internal Controls Manual, Internal Control Process Narratives, Risk and Key Controls Matrix, Scoping Documents, Aggregation of Deficiencies)
* Perform field visits
* Review documented field visit observations and testing workpapers
* Monitor segregation of duties exceptions
* Follow through on management responses to internal and external auditor recommendations
* Liaise with external auditors for areas of coverage
* Participate in the evaluation, design, and enhancements relevant to end to end processes to ensure the organization's financial reporting and operational risks are adequately mitigated by a strong internal controls system as a process, accounting and control expert
* Conduct research, assess, and provide recommendations as the company considers implementing to business processes/systems, and other major organizational changes that impact the controls environment
* Executes Risks and Issues Analysis, Root Cause and Incident Analysis
* Provide technical assistance to the field controllers
* Research field accounting issues as assigned
* Participate in quarterly close and SEC reporting matters, ensuring quarterly management and control certifications are obtained and exceptions are reported
* Assist the Director of PRC, Assistant Controller, Corporate Controller, PMO and CFO in GAAP compliance and special projects
* Some travel (20-25%) as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines required
* Minimum of 8 years accounting/audit experience, including at least 3 years of public accounting experience, preferably in Big 4. Mix of public and private.
* Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP – eg. 123R, acquisition purchase accounting as example)
* Strong Process re-engineering or experience in managing operational risk related to similar industries that face immigration and labor issues
* Experience in developing policy and performing other gap analysis
* Experience in building KPI/Dashboards that lead to strong entity level controls framework based upon new COSO guidance
* SEC reporting background a plus
* Excellent communication and organization skills
* Strong project management skills
* Professional Certification preferred e.g. CPA
