* Investigate trends in basic raw materials and supply prices * Identify savings for labor and materials in packaging, raw materials, and equipment. Reduce product costs and improve quality. * Place orders and enter into computer the supplier numbers, part numbers/descriptions * Determine and recommend changes for purchasing policies and procedures. * Coordinate and schedule sale of scrap, obsolete and surplus materials and by-products. * Responsible for operating under GMPs and MGP SOPs. * Communicate and inform suppliers of rejections, finalize settlements of reimbursements and/or replacements of product.
Job Specifications: BA/BS Degree with minimum of five years experience in a pharmaceutical purchasing environment. Two or more years of managerial experience.
