More information about this job: Overview: Qinetiq North America Mission Solutions Group seeks qualfied part time Market Research Analysts.
Responsibilities: The Analyst performs research and analysis of market and industry risks, opportunities, competitive threats and other factors to support business development and strategic decision-making. * Monitors market and industry trends that affect the Group. * Communicates results to strategic and operational planners. * Develops and maintains market, competitor, industry and key customer files. * Evaluates the impact of legislation, regulation, and policy on the Group, and develops business recommendations from this analysis. * Evaluates the impact of industry standards on the Group. * Supports proposal development and media relations.
Qualifications: Requires: * Bachelor’s degree * Graduate student (Marketing, Business, Economics, Law, or other relevant discipline) * US citizen * Fundamental familiarity with at least one of the following, as evidenced by experience or relevant coursework: market research, competitive analysis, forecasting, pricing analysis, or financial analysis * Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite * Strong written communication skills * Capacity for independent analysis and judgment Preferred: * Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within government contracting * Knowledge in one or more areas of government contracting or operations: * defense * space * cyberoperations * information technology * security services * software development and engineering * intelligence * Knowledge of SharePoint and database management * Knowledge of business-to-business marketing * Security clearance Desired minimum 1 Year commitment
