Market Research Analyst
The selected Analyst prepares and delivers industry-specific research and market data to the sales division and advertisers as well as other divisions throughout the organization; often creating slides and presentations in PowerPoint to easily demonstrate what the data means. Using primary and secondary research resources, the Analyst is responsible for the development of customized maps, trend reports, market overviews, demographic profiles, behavioral profiles, and other data-driven trends based on internal and external data. Present research with a focus on informing customers on the value of the Orange County market, the products we offer, and the audiences we reach. This position requires independent decision-making.
Market Research Analyst: Key Responsibilities: * Use data and software to look up demographic and behavioral data and define and describe current and potential advertisers, readers, and subscribers * Analyze data and create presentations that are easy to understand * Provide a thorough analysis of the market, creating slides, and presentations that visually represent this research in an easy-to-read manner * Present research information verbally, electronically, or in writing to internal and external customers * Respond to requests for market information in an easily-understood format that is accurate, thorough, and timely * Analyze research data to identify niches and opportunities * Maintain folders and resources shared by sales and market research analysts * Collect and maintain secondary research data (retail sales, economic, employment databases, etc.) * Perform day-to-day requests pertaining to the market research department as assigned
