The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a comprehensive marketing communications and lead generation plan as an integrated part of the overall marketing strategy to promote products and services to numerous target markets.
This position requires a person that is creative, self-directed, analytical, and detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and presentation skills. Must be highly dependable, excel at multi-tasking, and be comfortable working independently with limited supervisory oversight, relying on prior experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. At the same time, must value team collaboration and be able to work in a "submit for approval" environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative and a prerequisite for the position, including the ability to draft clear, concise and creative messaging to various target markets. Experience with public relations, writing press releases, budget preparation and tracking, event planning, creating attractive web communications (using HTML and Flash), web advertising, and SEO and PPC techniques is also desired. Light travel may be required.
Essential Functions: The Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing all delegated aspects of the organizations marketing objectives and initiatives. The Manager will follow through on corporate goals and policies set by management, as well as participate in the setting of these goals and policies, and carry out all necessary tasks to achieve corporate sales and profit goals. Essential functions include:
Assisting in developing promotional campaigns for all product lines. Overseeing the company's Web marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives, including e-mail database management and maintaining a fresh and up-to-date corporate website. Recommending and implementing appropriate new marketing techniques to increase the department's lead generation volume, including tradeshow analysis and coordination. Performing competitive market analysis to assist in the evaluation of existing product lines and development of new products and features to meet market demands. Working closely with the Graphics Designer to assist in the design and layout of product collateral and print advertisements. Assisting in identifying new markets and developing brand and other competitive strategies and objectives. Participating in regular (bi-weekly) Marketing Committee meetings. Coordinating marketing events, which may include webinars and offsite seminars and tradeshows, and any required materials preparation. Reporting marketing initiatives and results on a regular basis. Providing input on product pricing by researching and evaluating competitor pricing and value propositions. Managing delegated vendor relationships. Providing expertise on attractive and effective product packaging. Ensuring marketing projects are completed on time and within budget. Working closely with the Vice President of Business Development, sales staff, and Chief Operating Officer on joint projects, tasks, and operations.
