JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and executing all Marketing Communciations efforts tailored to both internal and external audiences in the Barnett Shale and coordinating with corporate headquarters for consistency and brand management. Provide leadership for all local communcication team members and agencies including public relations, copywriting, collateral development, graphic design, website social media, and media relations. Responsible for local Neighbor Relations team (call center) as adjunct to communications department.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Chief liaison with Corporate Communications department in OKC.
* Provide leadership of local brand management. Act as brand steward to ensure consistent look and feel of all creative materials and messages under national brand umbrella. Share all materials with home office and seek approvals as necessary.
* Develop local strategic and tactical marketing plans in line with company business objectives.
* Support Public Affairs, Community Relations, Training, Land, Operations, EHS and Midstream initiatives and issues management by developing compelling communications strategies to support efforts. Propose creative solutions to business, political, and communications challenges.
* Plan and execute local advertisements, collateral, marketing and promotional materials, internal and external newsletters. Coordinate appropriate internal approvals of all copy.
* Assist in the development of speeches and presentations for multiple departments.
* Lead public relations, media relations and social media strategies and promotional efforts.
* Leverage community service and philanthropic activities with publicity and awareness.
* Recommend and manage advertising/marketing budget; submit monthly reports. Also monitor, report and forecast department expenses.
* Manage relationship with advertising agencies and marketing communications consultants.
* Support crisis communications efforts. Follow approved Emergency Response Plan under direction and supervision of VP/UD and in conjunction with EHS staff and Incident Commander.
* Oversee Neighbor Relations team (call center/complaint department), developing policies and procedures and assuring quality control, accuracy and timeliness of responses; maintaining accurate records/logs.
* Develop and maintain advocacy data base and direct its use for appropriate correspondence.
* Coordinate creation and upkeep of all urban training materials; assure timeliness, accuracy, protocol.
* Hire, train, supervise, motivate and manage Marketing Communications and Neighbor Relations staff.
* Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Minimum Requirements:
* Excellent written and verbal English communications skills
* Creative and strategic thinker; problem solver
* High energy level; strong management/supervisory skills
* Well versed in all forms of media - print, broadcast, interactive, collateral, social, research
* Ability to work nights and weekends with regularity
* Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; able to learn company-specific applications
* Ability to maintain confidential information in discreet manner
Preferred:
* Strong, confident public speaker
* Accredited by PRSA or IABC
* Bilingual in Spanish
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum Requirements:
*
Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, public relations or related field
*
10 years experience in senior role in ad agency, PR firm or corporate communications
*
5 years staff management experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred:
*
Two years of energy industry experience
*
Master's degree in appropriate field
