Description: DLA Piper, a leader in the practice of law worldwide, seeks a Marketing Coordinator in our New York office. The ideal candidate will provide support to the Marketing Department in a wide range of business development and communications projects, focusing on tactical implementation of practice group and regional office initiatives.
-Work within the marketing department (brand, events, communications, etc.) to achieve marketing objectives and ensure compliance with firm and marketing department objectives, protocols, and standards. -Coordinate the development and production of new business proposals, presentations, RFP responses and pitches, as well as directory submissions. -Coordinate seminars and special events, including webinars for regional office(s) and practice groups, to increase the firm's involvement and profile in the business community. Provide hands-on support at events and coordinate materials for firm sponsorships. Conduct necessary follow-up and track ROI. -Assist with powerpoint presentations. -Assist in the preparation, revision, and editing of all collateral content including attorney bios, practice group profiles, web site pages, brochures, experience and deal tracking databases, etc. -Conduct market research on prospective clients to ensure adequate attorney preparation when meeting with clients and prospects. -Assist with business development projects, including working with practice groups to research market trends, industries, particular clients or prospects. -Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
Position requires three to five years of sales/marketing experience in a professional services environment. Previous law firm experience preferred.
Candidate must have strong organizational skills to handle a variety of projects and assignments simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, required to interact with firm attorneys and staff. Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Must have strong customer/client service orientation and the ability to think creatively, prioritize, and multi-task.
Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
