Our City of Industry Facility has a Maintenance Mechanic position open.
Key Accountabilities :
Maintain multiple buildings and equipment in optimal, safe running condition at the lowest possible cost.
Have experience with maintaining and repairing conveyor systems, powered equipment and other distribution center systems including electrical, electronic controls, pneumatic, hydraulic and HVAC
Develop cost effective maintenance, energy consumption, and operational improvements of facility and equipment.
Develop preventative maintenance programs.
Purchase equipment, parts and contracted services.
Work with outside regulatory agencies and consultants as needed.
Provide cost estimates for major repairs and capital improvements.
Prepare scope documents and solicit proposals for repair and construction services from third party service providers.
Develop innovative cost effective ideas for improvement to existing material handling systems and create optimal product flow.
Any other responsibilities management deems essential.
Skill Summary :
Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
Strong written and oral communication
Engineering and process improvement skills.
Experience with PC programs including Word, Excel, Lotus Notes.
Knowledge of proprietary systems and programs including PM programs, Lafayette System and Accusort.
Experience with high-speed sortation within a distribution, supply chain or manufacturing environment
Familiar with various material handling systems
Ability to make sound decisions and manage several processes in a fast paced environment.
An Associates degree or equivalent equivalent and professional certifications
