The Account Supervisor will support consumer clients in developing strategies and manage the day to day outreach activities targeting the US Hispanic market. Additional responsibilities include conducting media outreach, managing third party relations, developing/editing media and client documents, working with senior team members on program development, researching and writing talking points, identifying, recruiting and interfacing with third-party spokespersons, managing small-scale media events and supervising junior staff. The Account Supervisor will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and for all aspects of account management. The position provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with collaborative teams on corporate and product positioning, client and project management, and communications strategy. This position will be working with a very high profile client in the consumer products industry.
Qualifications: * Fully bilingual. Must possess ability to write and speak in both English and Spanish. * Four to seven years of experience developing and executing public relations plans for clients targeting the US Hispanic market *Previous experience with consumer brands is a plus *Have a proven ability to manage relationships with Hispanic media and third party organizations , including a proven ability to pitch advanced level story ideas to national media with confidence and professionalism *Possess excellent strategic written and oral communication skills; including demonstrated experience writing advanced level feature releases and media pitch letters *Have previous experience working in a public relations agency or in a client-focused, professional services environment *Be results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/accounts, and meet deadlines *Be a team player, while also being comfortable working independently *Have a BA or BS degree in communications, journalism or marketing
