Nursing Performance and Magnet Director (RN, MSN) Corning / Endicott, New York Area Competitive compensation and relocation assistance provided.
We are conducting a national search for an experienced Nursing Performance Improvement and Magnet Director. Our client is an independent, not-for-profit, 250+ bed tertiary medical facility. Responsibilities in this high profile role include: Coordinating the integration of nursing process, nursing competencies, and quality improvement activities for the Division of Nursing: Ensuring that nursing professional, Medical Center, and external regulator agency requirements are met in relationship to quality improvement activities and nursing process; Ensuring full compliance of all applicable Joint Commission standards and external nursing process; Coordinating activities related to achieving and maintaining MAGNET recognition; Responsible for special projects as assigned by the Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (COO)/Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). There will be approximately 12 employees reporting to the Nursing Performance and Magnet Director.
Qualifications and Experience required: Previous experience in performance improvement activities required; Demonstrated skills in developing interpersonal relationships, promoting an outstanding learning environment, organizational skills; Managerial expertise and skill in organizing and successfully completing special projects; Expertise with MAGNET Recognition application process desirable; Minimum of seven years acute care hospital experience; Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New York (or eligible for reciprocity); Master of Science (MSN) required.
