Operations Specialist

The Operations Specialist will have overall responsibilities for Concentric's Product production and Distribution chain including forecasting, scheduling, BOM creation and costing. Plans and implements activities related to those activities in accordance with quality system procedures.
Essential Functions:
•Gathers worldwide sales forecast demand for all current and new products including units needed for V&V, Testing, Demo and all internal needs.
•Manages and reports on accuracy of forecast vs demand for all products to management. Continually strives to reduce inventory carrying costs while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
•Plans and schedules production of devices to meet sales forecasts by utilizing MRP software and analyzing the results. Communicates issues and delays to management as they occur.
•Overall responsibility for QAD Item Masters and Bills of Materials. Ensures QAD matches released documentation and is updated with accurate planning information. Works closely with Finance to ensure correct costing and coding for new and existing product lines.
•Maintains sufficient FGI inventory levels to ensure adequate product availability in all markets and distribution centers. Responsible for ensuring adequate stocking levels at EU Distribution Center(s)
•Participates in product development projects to assist in identification and procurement of new items and assemblies.
•Is responsible for all kitting, rework and relabeling for Concentric's products.
•Ensures appropriate communication processes are established within and across functional groups. Communicates information related to quality management system effectiveness.
•Works in accordance with quality system procedures.

Qualifications/Work Experience

•Minimum 3 years progressive experience in purchasing, planning and/or material control
•Working knowledge of QAD MRP System or similar system
•Ability to work well under pressure and to meet multiple and occasional competing deadlines while maintaining a cooperative working relationship with other employees and supervisor.
•Ability to work in a highly detailed environment where mental focus and accuracy of work output is essential.
•Working knowledge with word processing, Excel and MRP software programs, preferably QAD MFGPro, required.
•Able to communicate professionally with suppliers and customers.
•Must be highly organized and able to execute tactics in a timely manner.
•Professional verbal and written communication skills.
•Strong team building/leadership skills.

Job duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk for long periods of time. Required duties include utilizing standard office equipment such as a computer, photocopier, and telephone, and reading and writing. Walking or standing within the office or warehouse areas may be required for the operation of office equipment, shipment/management of inventory and for attending meetings. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Education and/or Special Training

A BA/BS degree in Life Sciences or other technical field or equivalent combination of training and experience is required
