Overview:
Schafer Corporation is currently seeking a Program Analyst to provide support to the Operations Directorate, within (DHS) Department of Homeland Security (DNDO Offices). This position will be located on-site at DHS facilities in Washington, DC.
This position will provide Science & Engineering Technical Assistant (SETA) support as ProgramAnalyst for the Joint Analysis Center 24/7 Operations.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities to be performed include, but are not limited to the following: * Conduct information fusion and analysis in support of JAC operations. * Monitor data/communications networks for indications of the detection of contraband radiological/nuclear (RAD/NUC) material. * Operate multiple communications networks, to include desktop computer systems, intelligence systems, and other voice/data links. * Monitor and report incidents, as directed by established protocols. * Proof briefings, white papers, executive summaries, attend meetings and perform other tasks that communicate and execute plans for the JAC Chief of Operations. * Advise the organization on technical aspects of office administration/support functions to include providing internal reports/form control and file management; develop and implement office administration procedures.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to include: * A Bachelors Degree required. * A Minimum of 7 years Experience. * Ability to organize, coordinate and carry out administrative functions. * Ability to write analytical information products. * Availability for shift work in a 24/7 operational environment. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent written, oral communication, and organizational skills. * Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests. Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Command/Intelligence Center experiences. * Familiarity with issues concerning United States Government interagency coordination and integration. * Radiological/Nuclear experience preferred with a Department of Energy Q clearance. * Strong computer skills a plus. * Ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
