Job Description:
The Opportunity:Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Operator position. * Provide highest quality telephone service to customers, suppliers, fellow employees and community members; route calls to requested destination. Page employees as needed.
* Track incoming calls by territory and product for monthly metric.
* Ensure that proper security procedures are followed.
* Manage the opening and closing procedures for the building.
* Prepare and manage the AE/IAE calendar to ensure there is technical phone coverage for our customers.
* Train SEL Employee Owner's on telephone use and processes.
* Provide administrative support for other departments as requested with special projects.
* Back-up receptionist as needed.
* Follow and improve area lifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* One or two years experience with switchboard or reception duties
* Excellent communication skills and professional image
* Ability to learn new skills
* Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
* Background check results satisfactory to SEL
* Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications:
