Complete Description
Three years experience in hospital, similar medical facility, or physician office preferred in the collection field. Overall knowledge of third party payers, collection laws, FTC ruling, and collection procedures Responsible for the collection of all accounts assigned prior to, during or after admission and discharge. Communicates the hospital's financial policies to all patients. Serves as a patient advocate during the cycle of the account. Processes hospital receivables in a timely and accurate process. Performs basic maintenance of patient accounts in the MediTech system. Responsible for general office duties. Verifies patient's financial information to assist in the billing process. Demonstrates understanding and ability to apply admitting and registration policies and procedures. Interviews the patient and/or family members to obtain accurate information.

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required. Rotating Shifts may be required.
