Our client, a publicly traded service company, is looking for a hands-on Controller to contribute to the management team. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of: job-costing; maintenance of the financial accounting cycle including accounts payable, capital, fixed assets, inventory, financial statements, and financial reporting for multiple sites. Experience: Our client is seeking a Controller for their East Edmonton office. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial reporting; budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis and maintenance of internal control systems within the manufacturing or service industry. You will hold a Canadian Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA) and 5 or more years of experience in a senior role in a standard costing manufacturing or service environment. Strong leadership, communication skills and the ability to work with managers and staff throughout the company are an absolute must. In addition your strong bias for action and process improvements will be critical.
