Position Description:
Are you looking to join a fast growing, fast paced organization where you have the ability to create and deliver vital cloud capability that allows customers to deliver critical technical functions in a cost effective way? CGI?s US Federal Cloud team will be adding a Product Development Manager tasked with technical and project management oversight for both functional and development teams across multiple geographies and delivery centers. This individual will guide and mentor technical teams while ensuring tasks are being completed on time and meeting all quality standards. The Product Development Manager will manage the overall development schedule and ensure that all tasks, deliverables, and activities that must be completed in order for the project to succeed are identified and tracked to completion. Other responsibilities include:
Monitoring scope of assigned requirements/modifications and work to ensure scope creep does not occur without proper approval. Monitoring release costs to ensure they are tracking to plan. If costs are off, identifying the cause and solution to get them back in line. Ensuring critical deadlines with technical design and development are met and that all artifacts are of high quality by enforcing project coding stands and unit test procedures.
Communicating regularly with management and customers to ensure a full understanding of project status, risks, and other issues that could impact the testing schedule or deliverables. To be considered for this position, candidates must have 5+ years of demonstrated success managing the design, development, testing, deployment, and transition to operational support of server virtualization solutions and automated operations. This includes developing, maintaining, and following processes and procedures related to application deployment and IT infrastructure projects. Additional experience requirements include:
Developing automation within data center infrastructures and managing across both infrastructure and software development teams. Leading application integration projects of COTS solutions with middleware and orchestration tools. Developing with web technologies such as apache, JBoss, Tomcat, and Drupal Familiarity with cloud tools such as VMware vCloud Director and BMC?s Remedy ITSM Suite Coordinating and scheduling software development in a complex multi-vendor environment.
The best candidates will have the following experiences:
Developing systems that comply with FISMA and other federal government security standards. Knowledge of infrastructure software such as VMware, BMC, Remedy, firewalls, and load balancers. Developing and using CMMI certified processes and project management methods. Utilizing both Agile and RUP software development methodologies. Possessing Project Management Professional (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certifications is highly desirable.
