We are seeking a Product Manager to assist in defining product strategy for key Egencia initiatives, including Business Intelligence and others to be defined within the annual strategic planning process. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving target market research and competitive analysis, refining the Business Intelligence strategy for a differentiated offering for the corporate travel marketplace, which will drive additional revenue for the company. You will also refine and build this product offering over time in order to achieve and maintain product leadership
Additional Responsibilities include:
Drive development of product strategy and build business cases to explore new technology and business initiatives. Own and drive leadership of business-wide initiatives in the annual Egencia strategic planning process Work with internal and external customers to understand needs of all constituencies utilizing the product; document and manage customer Requirements and expectations. Primary customers will include Sales and Account Management, Global Customer Service and others TBD. Manage qualitative and quantitative research to understand internal and external user needs and competitive market positioning Work with all involved in project to ensure requirements are understood and prioritized appropriately Monitor and track product feedback to help in the prioritization of development projects Present business cases and make strategic recommendations to the executive team Build effective relationships with key internal business teams Identify project stakeholders, elicit project requirements and write business specification documentation for consumption by Development Teams Identify, size and prioritize opportunities according to revenue potential, making recommendations relating to key projects Set, track, analyze and communicate the business goals for projects and drive integration of strategic initiatives, developing detailed Business Requirement Documents which outline the business justification, define project scope, describe use cases, and identify any risks Work with Egencia business analyst, FP&A, development team and other functional groups to develop metrics and track ROI of features post-deployment Work with development team through product development cycle to ensure features developed meet the desired business objectives Collaborate with the Development Teams to evaluate technical options, driving build versus buy analysis Review project functional specifications to identify missing, incomplete or incorrect requirements with respect to business requirements and work with appropriate partners to resolve Liaise between product development and business owners to ensure clear communication, understanding and ultimate project success Act as product champion for internal stakeholders, serving as internal Product Expert, as well as to the marketplace (via PR and other external initiatives) promoting the product and documenting new features and benefits Work with marketing to impart product knowledge and review development of sales presentations, collateral, and press releases Where appropriate, identify operational requirements throughout the enterprise (i.e., Finance, Customer Support, Marketing, Supplier Partners, Training, etc.) for the successful deployment of projects to ensure these requirements are met Validate your projects, after being deployed, meet all operational and business requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven track record in defining, managing and bringing to market enterprise class web-based applications, managing a multi-million dollar R&D budget Expert level mastery of product management and software development concepts Ability to creatively solve challenging business problems and effectively and persuasively lead internal teams Ability to effectively present business cases, achieving executive-level buy-in on new product development initiatives Expert competency with project management including, but not limited to: issue and risk identification and management, tracking dependencies and milestones and communication of overall product/project status Exceptional interpersonal skills with experience working in a team environment and communicating with senior managers and executives Proven track record defining and executing key analysis and developing specific solutions to drive business results Experience writing business requirements documentation, including use case development Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be able to cultivate strong working relationships and drive collaboration across multiple business and technical teams Experience creating frameworks to assess new business opportunities Candidate should be a self-starter with demonstrated strengths managing multiple projects simultaneously and driving them to completion with limited direction.
Education & Experience:
5+ years experience in software/technical product management Bachelors/Masters degree in a technical discipline or a non-technical degree with minimum 3 years technology-centric business experience; MBA a strong plus Travel industry and travel technology experience a strong plus Experience in the B2B, e-commerce and/or Internet technology space required
