Program Manager
The Training Management Solutions Organization, located in Colorado Springs is currently seeking a Program Manager to lead the Graduate Training Management System (GTIMS) program in the execution, management and coordination of all program management activities across multiple MAJCOMS and locations. The GTIMS program provides a comprehensive set of management tools and support for flying training to the Air Force Air Education and Training Command, Air Mobility Command, Special Operations Command, and the Army's Aviation Center of Excellence.
• Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
• Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
• Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
• Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
• Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer.
• Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
• Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Management) with 5 years of experience in program management and all phases of the system development lifecycle.
• Intimate knowledge of the flying training operational domain in the Air Force and Navy required.
• Outstanding customer relationship skills required.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting experience required.
• Candidate must have demonstrated ability to effectively lead a large team
• The ability to obtain a security clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications: • Masters degree preferred.
• Former USAF and/or Navy flying experience highly desired.
• Current or previous outstanding working relationship with AETC or AMC highly desired.
• Technical knowledge of Training Management Systems highly desired.
