Project EngineerOur client is looking for the next Assistant Project Manager!
SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Assistant Project Manager's responsibilities will include but may not be limited to: Assist with the development and execution of project plans & schedules to execute scope safely, efficiently, and cost effectively; Monitoring project performance (cost, schedule, scope changes, safety, and quality); Identify resource requirements such as manpower and equipment; As well as other duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Schedule and coordinate meetings. - Attend, record, and document project meetings. - Maintain project databases and working files. - Evaluates, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform technical tasks, field tasks, studies and analysis with ongoing review from project team management. - Prepares and generates routine reports and correspondence; some involvement in preparing more complex reports; writes reports. - Reviews field reports; provides guidance to field personnel. - Collects data in complex field situations without supervision. - Prepares proposals and assists in preparation of large-scale proposals. - May calculate and manage smaller scale projects, which would include scheduling, ordering material, billing, etc. - Organizes field work and assigns tasks to staff. - Contacts vendors, and researches literature and regulatory requirements. - May include pricing change orders. - Preparation of field binders. - Processing Time and material tickets. - On larger scale projects, the assistant project manger should be capable of stepping in at any point and help with any number of tasks. - May assist in the estimating process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and strong computer literacy. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task are essential. Must be a self starter and have the ability to organize and prioritize work.
