Position Description: The Project Manager / Business Analyst is a member of Business Solution Services Program Management Team responsible for implementing strategic initiatives for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's Sales Technology Group. The candidate must be capable of fulfilling both a Business Analysis and a Project Management role on a project team depending on the size and complexity of the project.
In the Project Management role, the candidate will be responsible for the project planning, tracking and reporting on multiple concurrent mid sized web projects relating to Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's client facing websites. In the Business Analyst role, the candidate will be responsible for the gathering requirements and for documenting functional specifications and use cases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience on web based projects for a retail brokerage.
Skills Required: The Project Manager / Business Analyst will have experience producing the following deliverables: - Project Plans (MS Project) - Status Reports - Detailed scope matrix - Gap Analysis - Use cases - Functional specifications - Process flows
Additionally the candidate will have: - Experience leading multiple concurrent web projects - Familiarity with all phases of the software development lifecycle. - Familiarity with the various phases of creative engagement lifecycle - specifically information architecture, wire framing, and prototyping. - Actively participated in at least two cycles of detailed concept design and business/functional analysis of complex web based systems - Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. - - Ability to trace requirements from capture through system and usability testing - A minimum 2 years of experience in capital markets (retail brokerage) or financial services field.
