Environmental, Social-Economic, and Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) professionals in our Houston, Texas or Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) office to work on large scale projects for the oil and gas industry.
Project Manager to lead technical team for completion of an ESHIA in Iraq for an International Oil Company. Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the project including safety, security, budget, schedule, technical team, training and client interface
• Ensure client criteria and scope are met. Expedites distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client and Project Manager.
• Review work produced to ensure compliance with industry standards and company / clients procedures and that quality is acceptable.
• Assist in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project. Participates in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.
• Develop the scope of work, schedules, and budgets, and monitors progress to meet schedule and budget requirements. Identifies and documents changes in scope.
- Manage technical staff scheduling and professional development
- Facilitate the procurement, training, and execution of subcontractors
• Interface with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate procurement coordination with vendors/subcontractors.
- Manage the development of work plans and coordinate the execution of field work
- Coordinate the preparation of and write project technical reports
- Implement Parsons Project Quality Plan
Implements Parsons Sustainability values on project.
Qualifications: BS / BA in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences or related degree to assignment with an additional 15 years of related work experience (MS is preferred). Requires excellent technical written and oral communication skills as well as be independent and resourceful. Must be able to work with a geographically dispersed team and plan, coordinate, and manage staff, technical meetings, webinars, and site visits. Must be proficient with Microsoft software.
ESHIA and / or environmental assessment experience
oil and gas experience.
Managing projects $10 MM that are fast paced and rapidly changing
Working with a teaming partner and subcontractors in multiplier locations
Sound financial and contract management a must.
Preferred experience includes:
•• working in developing countries
• middle east experience
• Willingness to conduct business travel to Houston, Dubai, and southern Iraq
• Ability to speak Arabic
