Supports the implementation of strategic alliances with large managed care organizations (including preferred and highly preferred contracts) by
representing Apria's payor clients to the referral source community
Conducts inbound and outbound calls to the payor's network of referring providers to inform them of the payor's alliance with Apria, answer questions, build buy-in for compliance with procedural changes such as central intake, persuade them to send new patient referrals to Apria instead of other providers, and reduce leakage to other providers
Complete reports as requested to track referral source feedback, questions, concerns, and commitments to send new referrals to Apria
Qualifications:
Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma required; college education preferred.
At least two years related experience in home health care customer service, provider relations within a managed care payor, or sales to referral sources (e.g. physicians' offices, hospital case managers) is required
Sales-oriented mindset required and experience in telemarketing operations or sales team preferred
Demonstrated effectiveness in sales-oriented call-center or branch operations and in quickly building rapport with referral sources
Demonstrated ability to achieve results while creating and maintaining high referral source satisfaction
Process oriented to consistently follow established processes
Detail oriented to track progress
Able to learn payor requirements and to appropriately represent the payor in interacting with referral sources
Broad knowledge of Apria operations and especially front-end customer service functions is preferred
Experience and familiarity with payor operations (including provider relations) is preferred
Location in Kansas City is required
