Job Description : The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for establishing commodity strategies and setting key goals in conjunction with Robert Bosch Power Tool global purchasing objectives for commodities of strategic importance (high dollar volume and/or significant contribution to the success of the company). This includes new and existing supplier development activities and leading team (PTNA internal and RB Global) negotiations with key suppliers. *Lead new and existing supplier development activities to drive innovation as well as overall supplier performance improvements (response time, cost reduction, quality) *Develop and implement corporate procurement strategies for key commodities *Lead or participate in global and / or Regional Commodity Teams in Negotiations with Key Suppliers. *Foster and Encourage suppliers toward implementing a company wide strategy of Continuous Improvement. This should be encouraged in their specific areas of manufacturing discipline, but not be limited to Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and Technology Improvements. *Work closely with plant and / or other purchasing staff to monitor supplier performance with respect to quality, delivery, responsiveness and price and represent PTNA at Divisional meetings, facilitating the exchange of information within our worldwide organization. Job Requirements : *Must possess the capability to be a Team Leader of Commodity Buyers *Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Materials, Engineering or Purchasing *5 plus years of International Purchasing Experience in a multiple plant manufacturing environment with direct experience in supplier selection, development and negotiations.
