One of our major services is providing our clients with Quality Assurance / Quality Control inspection of energy and power equipment including power plants as well as hydroelectric components and mechanical equipment. We currently have a need for a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist in Lewiston, NY. The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for providing substantial technical expertise pertaining to installation of hydroelectric operating equipment and components during unit upgrades and overhauls and inspection of equipment at vendor facilities during fabrication and testing, to assure conformance with design drawings, technical specification, industry codes and Authority’s QA requirements. They are also responsible for monitoring field installation of vendor work to ensure compliance with contract documents and quality assurance requirements are met, providing strong leadership in quality assurance with regard to the inspection plans and welder verification of contractor welders. Must be able to identify problems and solutions, as well as efficiency improvement opportunities. US Passport Required. Required Skills
Minimum of 10-15 years of quality experience with power plants and their various mechanical systems, hydroelectric preferred. Significant knowledge with applicable codes and standards, including: Welding, NDE, ISO9001, ASME IX & ASTM a must, owner’s rep experience a plus. CWI and NDE Certifications preferred. Ability to verify contractor welder qualifications through testing and documentation. Required Experience
