Radar System Engineer/Analyst
Introduction The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), a national leader in scientific research and development, located midway between Baltimore and Washington, DC is seeking a Radar System Engineer/Analyst.
Responsibilities Analyze the performance of Ballistic Missile Defense System radars to support system development, risk reduction, ground and flight tests, and mission planning. Provide recommendations for radar development and operations to sponsors. Develop models and simulations to support analytical work.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or equivalent with experience in engineering, analysis, modeling and simulation or equivalent. Strong communications skills.
Desired: Master's degree in Engineering with three years' experience in radar development and/or defense systems simulations.
Special Work Conditions Regular local travel to meet with government sponsors and occasional domestic travel to contractors and other laboratory organizations.
