The Martin-Brower Company, L.L.C., is an international multi-location company which services the world's largest distributor of products to the world's largest restaurant company - McDonald's. Martin-Brower is currently seeking an Assistant WAREHOUSE Manager for its Harriman, NY distribution center.
Assists the Warehouse Manager with all warehouse activities. Ensures the receipt, coordination and safety of goods coming in through the warehouse. Also ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.
General Responsibilities Include:
Develop Warehouse team to perform daily functions.
Assist Warehouse Manager with budget process.
Analyze financial report and make recommendations for improvement.
Perform redirection of employees when needed.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local facility regulations.
Participate in monthly safety meetings.
Provide support to the warehouse manager to develop and execute tactics that align the distribution center with customer activities and initiatives.
Must be able to meet deadlines and deal with pressures associated with those deadlines.
Resolve employee issues with assistance from Warehouse Manager and Human Resources.
Partner with Warehouse Manager to manage key operating performance indicators (overtime, delivery, reliability, and productivity).
Coordinate with Manager all facility and grounds maintenance to include repairs, painting, and cleaning.
Assist in coordinating equipment requirements and maintenance to meet customer delivery needs.
Assist in ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and safety/health standards.
Oversee and participate in the training and development of the warehouse workforce.
Calculate manpower needs and participate in the hiring process for warehouse persons.
Coordinate with Warehouse Manager work schedules and bid package process.
Coordinate with Warehouse Manager inventory and cycle counts.
Champion Engineered Standards, Syntelic, and Employee scorecard process to improve the warehouse operation.
