RN, Assistant Director of Nursing
Responsible for the direction and supervision of nursing staff/activities to maintain consistency and efficiency in meeting departmental goals and objectives. Responsible for making administrative decisions utilizing knowledge of long term care policies and nursing standards. Ensures compliance with standards of nursing practice to promote optimal health care delivery. Demonstrates knowledge of the gerontological and non-gerontological patient’s physical, social, emotional, and psychological needs based on the health care needs required.
makes rMakes rounds to assess care in the Restorative Nursing Program. Coordinates program, monitors restorative staff. Updates and maintains restorative records. Maintain records and monitor reduction of restraints in the Restraint Reduction Program.
Provides management oversight for multiple nursing neighborhoods and assists the Director of Nursing as needed. Acts as a resource to staff regarding administrative programs, policies, and changes. Promotes a collaborative approach with physicians and other health care disciplines. Sets a positive example in performance, attitude, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of Missouri. Bachelors Degree in Nursing or its equivalent preferred.
B) LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:
Current RN licensee in the state of Missouri.
C) EXPERIENCE:
Three to four years of recent nursing experience during which administrative and supervisory competency has been demonstrated. One-year management experience preferred.
D) SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Communication, organization, and planning skills required.
